Jot something down.
Pick how long it should live. 1 hour to 1 month.
When time’s up, it disappears. A 24-hour grace period, just in case.
Set a time-to-live when you create a note:

“I needed somewhere to save a recipe. Just for that night.”
On a Thursday evening, I wanted to bake pangoccioli — Italian chocolate chip buns — for someone I love.
I needed somewhere to save the recipe. Just for that night. Not in Apple Notes, where it would sit forever between old grocery lists and forgotten ideas. Just… somewhere temporary.
That somewhere didn’t exist. So I built it.
I thought it would take a weekend. It took six months. The recipe note became a full note-taking app. The single timer became seven TTL options. The plain design became 24 colors, 18 patterns, and 6 hidden easter eggs.
What started as a kitchen hack became Effery.
And the pangoccioli? They were good.
